LQ Establishes Oliver K. Olson Endowment
The establishment of an endowment fund in honor of LQ founder Oliver K. Olson has met with great success, having now met the goal of $30,000.
In addition to this important fund, Dr. Olson was honored for his work at a banquet held in conjunction with the LQ annual meeting. Speakers at the event included Paul Rorem, Robert Kolb, Walter "Skip" Sundberg, John Pless, and Virgil "Bud" Thompson. Dr. Olson himself offered reflections on his career, early influences in his life, and the legacy of Lutheran Quarterly.
Pictures from the event appear below.
Thank you to all who made the event possible. If you would like to contribute to the Oliver K. Olson Endowment Fund, please contact managing editor Bud Thompson: email email@example.com or phone 410-516-6987.
